Formation of candidates for priesthood

The Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales are promoting local vocations to the congregation to continue serving the Churches in Africa.


The different stages and places of formation are mentioned below.


1. Vocation Promotion and Stage of Aspirancy

Location: Kihonda Junior seminary, Secondary schools, parishes in East Africa.

It is mainly done through personal contact, visits, come and see camps etc by vocation director and other confreres.


2. Postulancy  – one year

Location: Fransalian Seminary Ndagani-Kenya


3. Noviciate – one year

Location: Fransalianum Kibaha, Tanzania


4. Philosophy – three years

Location: Lumen Christi Institute, Arusha


5. Pastoral Mission Experience (Regency) – one year

Location: every misionary centre of the Province


6. Theology - 4 years

Location: Fransalian House Kola, Morogoro
